Trip to NYC....

Well, ONE person guessed right!  Not that it was a guessing game but she mentioned it in her comment...

I went here...

MARTHA!  My cousin got tickets to see the Martha Stewart Show.

Eh.  It was okay.   The show wasn't very exciting and we walked away empty-handed.  I've been watching her show the last week or so and every show... free stuff.  Our show?  NOTHING.  Even today, the audience got the October issue of Everyday Food, a Martha glue gun, a 20% off coupon for the UPS store, a calendar AND they got samples of apple cookies.

BOO Martha!  But it was cool to be in her studio.  Wanna see?  The pictures are crappy due to all the high voltage lighting.

The cool part?  The show was live.  So if you happen to be watching the Martha Stewart show on Tuesday morning at 10:00.... that was the show I was seeing in person.

This handsome guy was the guest...
Victor Garber

And here are a couple pics of the Queen of Crafts herself... OH!  And my cousin got her question answered by Martha!

All and all, it was a nice morning/early afternoon in the city.  We didn't hang around for too long.  We went to the show, had lunch and caught the 1:30 train home.  We were all exhausted from getting up at 4:00 a.m. to catch the super early train.

Now we are going to try for Rachael Ray tickets.  I can't stand Rachael Ray but hey, it's something to do!

Enjoy your day!
Jen

  3. I was thinking that was what you were up to, you lucky girl, you! Next time, be sure to stop by M & J Trims or Tinsel Trading Co.

How disappointing not to go home with some party favors! But it's still fun to spend a day in the Big Apple. It gets your energy going!

  4. Wow, I wasn't expecting that. How unfair that you didn't get anything. Must have been fun to do something different like that though.

I think I recognize that actor from the first Legally Blonde, but maybe I am mistaken.

  5. I feel about Martha the way you feel about Rachel Ray! LOL Glad you had a good time in the city though.... bummer that there were no free gifts!

  6. Hahaha -- I don't like Rachel Ray either, but love your take on it.

Doesn't that annoy you? The show before our Martha show they got something fantastic like Le Crueset pans. Our show? It was on aging and we got bottles of pomegranate juice. No Fair! Still, like you said, it's fun to see the inner workings. And we had a little peek at how everyone froze waiting for Martha when something went wrong. (Does she freak out or something LOL???)

  7. That sounds like a very fun day. :) Even if you didn't get freebies, but you are right....that would have been better. I would love to do that. :)
