I have 10 more blocks to make. This one is slow going for me. And then I have to make the scrappy border. The block is super easy to make. Not sure why I'm putzing along with them.
Anyhoo... here are the blocks that are done so far.

Do you see it? I made a note above in the picture. It's a black with white dots. And it's the ONLY solid black in the quilt. There are some white with black dots in the quilt but they don't stand out like a sore thumb.
Yup. I think it needs to go. What do you think?

Looks really pretty!!! I agree, that black needs to go. I have some Dilly Dally that I plan on using and I really think they need to do away with the black/black and whites. They just don't go with all the colors :(

ReplyDeleteI love that collection & think of your Amelia every time I see it somewhere. Yeah, that black block does pop out.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, but I agree the black just doesn't fit as well as the other colors. I've been using some black in bright colored quilts lately, but I think if you stick with the black you may want it in a few more spots to balance it out. I can't wait to see the finish :-)
