Speaking of Disney, we met with a travel agent yesterday to learn the ins and outs of our potential trip and we're getting close to booking! WOOHOO! I thought for sure the prices would bug my husband's eyes out but he was really mellow about it. After some discussion on the way home and a bit more looking online at the different resorts the travel agent priced out for us, I think we've made a decision as to where we're going to stay when we're there. More on that later. I will just say that I am SUPER EXCITED and having a hard time holding my secret in around Amelia.
On to Swoon. Block 3 is complete. Block 4 fabrics have been pulled out of the pile and ready for cutting but I'm not feeling it. They will have to wait.
Some other finishes. I finished the first round of gifts for Christmas Through the Year that Darlene and Cheryl are co-hosting. I'm not ready to show you yet though. See, MY part is done but I need the husband's muscles for the last bit. If I get on him before he leaves for work tonight, I should be able to show you tomorrow. I also finished my accessory bag for the swap that Kris is hosting. Again, I need the husband's muscles for one last part. I'll explain when I show you what I made.
I know a few weeks ago I promised a 500 post celebration giveaway and I haven't forgotten. I just need to snap a picture and post. Stay tuned!
Enjoy your day!
Jen
Too many mysteries, Jen. What ARE you working on for Christmas gifts?
ReplyDeleteYour Swoon block looks great. I find I need a bit of a break after doing one. Good thing we always have a "few" projects on the go ;)
Oh, by the way, Anna told me the same thing about embracing my inner snow lover. Not gonna happen, I'm afraid. It's cold and snowy out today and the roads are slippery. And I've got no Disneyland trip in the near future.
Disney sounds wonderful....I'm dreamin of course....now that both boys are pretty much on their own a cruise is wanted...I'll wear a life jacket. (bad joke I know)
ReplyDeleteSWOON...girl...block 3 is another pretty one!
Good job keeping up with those Swoon blocks. :) I just finishe both of my accessory bags and another little gifty to include in the package too. Been sewing in my pjs all day. Buddy and Hubby both have been sick all week...went to the doc and all. THEN Thursday night, I come down with the light sniffles. Luckily I just had a really light head cold.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you about your Disney trip...and yes embrace your inner snow for sure!!!! Pretty Swoon block...and yippppeee on your Christmas project--can't wait to see it. YIKES--guess I need to be working on mine.
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great! It snowed here yesterday (in MN) and you'd think some of these people had never seen snow before! They think it might rain tomorrow. Ick!
ReplyDeleteLoving your Swoon blocks Jen. I'm jealous of you getting your blocks going. I cut out and brought a different quilt to put together once we get to FL. Swoon will wait until March.
ReplyDeleteThat's the spirit! Now we just have to work on Rachel. She might not be going to Disney but she has Italy in her future. I got nuttin'. I can't wait to read about Miss Punkie's big trip. We went there when our boys were her age and had a great time!
ReplyDeletelovin your swoon blocks & can't wait to see what your secret projects are! Disney is the best & Punkie is the perfect age. Although any age is the perfect age I think!
ReplyDeleteI vow NEVER to embrace my inner snow! Before you go to Disneyland, be sure to scope out all the local fabric shops in the area. You wouldn't want to go all that way and not bring home a yard or two (or 3 or 4) - would you? Think of it as souvenir shopping.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - I'm swoonin' over your blocks. Hey, that sounds like a Valentine card - I'm going to keep it in mind.
I have been checking on your swoon blocks (I came over here from flickr) and they are really great!! Also love the Christmas quilt...lots going on here!!
