Know of any? I'm sure I can come up with my own "design" but I'm not confident enough (yet). I bought, I should say my husband bought (late christmas present), the Darla fat quarters for me and I also got the charm squares for Oh-Cherry-Oh!. I want to use both these fabric lines in a lap quilt (or bigger) for myself because I just love them! But I don't have a pattern that uses both fat quarters and a charm pack.
So? Any body out there got any ideas?? Know of a nice (read - SIMPLE) pattern that I can do to utilize both in one quilt??

Hi Jen, you probably don't want to hear anything this boring, but one of my very favorite patterns is just to use the charm squares and lay them out in a nice configuration and go for it. Easy, quick and cute!
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteThere are patterns at your local quilt shop that will be for charm packs. There are small quilts, table toppers & runners. Sometime just seeing them will give you your own idea...
I was thinking the same thing, table topper or runners. There are tons of patterns out there. In fact I think The Happy Zombie blog has a tutorial for a runner that is really cute using charms.
ReplyDeleteGreat WW recipes you gave, and yeah for you on the pound!!!!

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI hope you did telecommuting today. The snow turned to rain here about noon, and I'll tell you it sure was heavy. I think each shovelful weighed about 20 lbs. It was a good day for you to stay in and play with your new machine. Since there wasn't any school, Frannie and I whipped up a batch of yummy chocolate chip muffins. That sure beats the cold winter blues!

Found just a terrific book for this kind of scrap quilt...."Big Block Quilts Using Layer Cakes, Sweet 16s. Look under moosequilts.com
