Do you USE it? Like more than the one time you bought it and ripped the cellophane off the package, loaded on the computer and then got bored with it because you didn't understand how it worked??
So? Do you use it? Do you find it useful to create your own quilt block designs?
Is it EASY to use? I know I work on a computer all day long and I have for 12 years but you know what? I'm NOT that computer savvy. I failed miserably at Photoshop. No matter how many times my brother explained layers and all that junk to me. I still don't get it. Is it easier than that?? Or is it roughly the same concept? Because if it is, I'm sunk!
Is it WORTH the money? $150.00 isn't THAT expensive but the additional software that you can get can really add up quick. And if you're anything like me.... I need it ALL!
I'm thinking of adding EQ 6 to my Christmas list to Santa (my husband) but I'm looking for some honest feedback here. Once I get an idea in my head that I really want something, I'll just go and get it regardless. THIS TIME, I want to weigh out my options. Am I really going to use it or will a gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop be better? :)
Any opinions, good or bad, are appreciated!
Enjoy your day!
Jen :)

Hey i have EQ5 and i use it a lot, mostly when i have several proyects in my mind, then i sit with the program, i design them all in a day and save them. Then i have an archive of all proyects and how much fabric are they gonna require.

Jen, I have it. It is great but I have it to design for myself, magazines, online shops etc..so IF I didn't do that..then probably you would be better off using your $ for a fatquartershop g.f. which btw I LOVE the fat quarter shop...
ReplyDeleteI have it and it is much easier than Photoshop. I don't have any of the "extras", just the main program and that has been quite enough for me. Shop around online, you can get a better price.
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered the same thing. I received EQ1 years ago as a gift and I think it still sits on the shelf with the cellophane on it. I've heard that people with EQ6 love it, but I'm just too old fashioned. I'm a graph paper and colored pencils girl LOL!
ReplyDeleteNope don't have it...figured I wouldn't be able to figure it out!!
ReplyDeleteI have EQ5 and I have used it; don't have a lot of time for it--would rather blog and sew! I also don't have a reason--I am not a designer of quilt patterns nor do I design for anyone else. I would take the Fat Quarter Shop GC!
ReplyDeleteI wish you had followers so I could follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteyes i have it.. yes its easy... and yes its worth it!!
