What I've been up to

Hello friends!  Feels like forever since I've posted and it's only been a week.  I've been getting lots done around here.  And lots of sewing has been happening.  I have a bunch to show you but I'll do it in different posts.  :)

Allison from Cluck Cluck Sew did a great tutorial on a Sprocket Pillow and I HAD to make one.  I just HAD to.  So I pushed everything else that was getting my attention here and made one.  I made the larger one.  Can I say it is CUTE??  I love it.  I dug through my stash and used some cherry fabric that's been hanging around here.  It matches nothing in my house but it looks cute on Punk's bed so it is now hers.  She hasn't seen it yet since I just finished it this afternoon.

I have a feeling I'll be making at least a couple more of these.  I would like to make a few out of my Darla scraps for my bed for this Summer. 

Thank you Allison!  Super easy to do and it's totally cute.

I'll be back tomorrow with more stuff I have completed.

    Hi Jen! I just found that tutorial today too - will be adding that to my project list too! They are so cute! I love the turquoise fabric she used for the sides on that one pillow. I need that for Emma's red/aqua quilt. I was a sewing maniac this weekend! Check the blog. Take care! Jenn

    Yes!!! I loved that pattern also, and wanted to whip one up right away... but some other thing got in the way. I love your pillow! Couldn't you see doing it in Christmas or Fall fabrics also? I decided when I saw it that I was going to make it one of the projects for the quilt retreat I host. I love the back fabric of yours too:)

    Hi Jen, you are so right, the pillow is so cute. I'll have to pop over and look at the tutorial. I've been busy around here, too, but doing some gardening...which is fun but hard work.

    I haven't started Postage Stamp yet. Have you? I planned to do some sorting (at least) last night, but then something else came up that had to be done first. I guess it will have to wait until Friday.
