Stanley. He is a very pretty/handsome boy. Some days I want to make him into chicken soup. Other times I ignore him. You know that he cock-a-doodle-dos ALL.DAY.LONG?! Not just in the morning. All day. He starts about 5:00 am and goes from there. Thankfully he takes breaks and we have a couple of hours of quiet. Stanley and the rooster across the street talk to each other too. One will crow and then the other and back and forth they go. It's funny actually.
I haven't shown you our chickens since they were little.

I have another chicken story but it will have to wait.
Enjoy your day!

Our neighbor got chicks in the spring, and she has more roosters than hens now! And they all crow all day long! LOL
ReplyDeletetoo funny. so can you eat the eggs? (city girl here)
ReplyDeletenothing better than fresh eggs Jen.xx
ReplyDeleteThat rooster is quite handsome but looks like he has a bit of attitude. Yes, those eggs can be eaten and will become larger as you chickens age. They are called pullet eggs.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
It most definitely looks like he is king of the roost!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful chickens! I'm jealous of the fresh eggs. I'll bet they get bigger. So you'll have baby chicks one day since there's a rooster?
ReplyDeleteMy neighbors have two roosters and I hate them! They wake me up. Ugh. Like the eggs though.
ReplyDeleteI love Stanley..such a proud guy. Wow, that's a bunch of eggs..how fun!
