Amelia and I will be going to my Mom's for a little while on Sunday. To be selfish, I REALLY don't feel like going. How bad is that?? I really want to stay home and enjoy my own Mother's Day. But my Mom laid on a good guilt trip so now the two of us will go and see her for a few hours. I told my brother I would be there so he's going to come over at the same time. I haven't seen him since Easter so it will be good to catch up with him. I was hoping my mom would come to my house for the day but she's not budging so I'll be the good daughter and go there. Sigh. So much for sleeping in on Sunday!
I'm making good progress on my potholders for the third swap. I will post pictures soon. And I have a pillowcase to stitch together tomorrow and send it off to Jackie. I wanted to send two. I have one done and the second one just waiting for me to get going on it. I am the worst procastinator ever! :)

I think you need to just start celebrating on Saturday Jen. My mom goes to Hawaii every Mother's Day... so, I'm in the clear:)

ReplyDeleteI'm preparing to have everyone over here for brunch tomorrow and looking forward to it. Just made a batch of deviled eggs that I'm hoping will taste better tomorrow after they've chilled overnight. I tried a recipe with horseradish that I'm not too sure about.
I feel your pain! My mother rarely comes to my house and we only live 5 miles apart -- it's pitiful! I hope you had a wonderful weekend anyway!
